The Latest Findings from Our Swing Voter Research

The Swing Voter Project, a collaboration between Sago and Engagious, continued this month to understand how voters in key battleground states are thinking and talking about critical issues such as abortion, vaccine mandates and Afghanistan.

Two online focus groups took place on September 14 with swing voters from the most competitive battleground states who voted for Donald Trump in 2016, then Joe Biden in 2020. This month voters expressed their sentiment towards Texas’ new anti-abortion law.

Rich Thau, President, Engagious, moderated the groups and said, “Democrats should worry that swing voters barely know how the Texas law works, particularly its enforcement,” he said. “Republicans should worry that, once swing voters understand the law, they’ll think it’s too extreme.”
